Micronutrient Guidelines
- Food Sources Are Better Than Supplements
- If calcium is deficient, the body breaks down calcium from bones to use it. Too much intake increases the risk of kidney stones. Consume in moderation.
- Check food tables showing vitamin & mineral content to see if you're deficient in any nutrients from your diet. If you consume appropriate amounts of legumes, cruciferous vegetables, nuts, whole grains, fish, and eggs, you probably won't experience most nutrient deficiencies? (Please check your individual case)
